A young Lakota Sioux boy is given the name of "Slow". When he sees how strong and powerful the names of the adult men in his tribe are, he decides to do something brave that will earn him a better name. This little boy is actually Sitting Bull, a famous Lakota warrior. In addition to providing information about the traditional lives of the Lakota Sioux, information is provided about how many children got their unique names.

Consensus Decision Making

Consensus Decision Making Education & Online Training

Agreement vs. Consent Unanimity is achieved when the full group consents to a decision. Giving consent does not necessarily mean that the proposal being considered is one's first choice. Group members can vote their consent to a proposal because they choose to cooperate with the direction of the group, rather than insist on their personal preference.

Consensus decision-making: A virtual learning center for people interested in consensus. (n.d.). Retrieved March 28, 2018, from Consensus Home website: https://www.consensusdecisionmaking.org/
