LEARN Mission Statement
The mission of LEARN is to support quality instruction and resources in literacy through collaboration, leadership, and advocacy.
LEARN Statement of Purpose
● To provide members with professional learning opportunities and knowledge
of the latest research in literacy and resources.
● To encourage and support leadership at local and provincial levels.
● To initiate, support and showcase literacy and library programs for students at
both the school and community levels.
● To establish and maintain collaborations/partnerships internally with other
organizations involved in literacy development and school librarianship.
● To advocate teacher librarianship and school libraries.
● To offer advice and recommendations to the provincial Executive and its
committees on matters affecting the association.
