Tellagami is an application that lets users create and share quick animated movies called Gamis. Users create a scene, customize an avatar or character, and choose a background. The background can be chosen from within the app itself or the camera roll. Then, users can add dialogue, either by recording the user’s voice or typing in text. If the users record their voice, there is a 30 second audio limit. If text to speech is chosen, there are male and female voices with a few different accents and a 450 character text message limit.
Finished Gamis can be emailed, posted to Facebook, or tweeted, which also generates a link to share. Users can view the movie online and get the embed code. The movies can be saved to the camera roll. From there, Gamis can be combined together in iMovie or incorporated into other apps like Explain Everything. Tellagami does not require students to create accounts or have an email address. |

Getting Started
- Upload pictures of your library, classroom, or professional setting to Tellagami and use as backgrounds to animate a virtual tour which, if desired, you can add to your web site or social media site.
- Have students or colleagues create Gamis as testimonials for the library, classroom, or professional setting. Alternatively, create a Gami to provide instructions for activities for a task to be performed in the library, classroom or professional learning opportunity, such as a sign-out procedure or ebook directions.
- If desired, post your Gami on your web site or social media platform.
