LessonPaths

Back to Ed Tech Tools
LessonPaths is a content curation website where educators can make or browse through created Learning Playlists. Content curation is the gathering of a variety of digital resources around a specific subject area. LessonPaths provides a platform to turn this content into a Learning Playlist that can be shared with others. Virtually all media is supported including YouTube videos, websites, Google Docs, PDFs, and more. Learning Playlists can be created and edited collaboratively or privately and are embeddable.

LessonPaths contains teacher tools for users that allow educators to organize their playlists into folders, manage who has access to them, and see the progress that is being made in the various lessons by those individuals enrolled in the system. In this way, the teacher can integrate created playlists with community generated content to form entire units of study.

Educational uses:
  • Differentiate students’ learning experience
  • Have students showcase their learning through the construction of a Learning Playlist
  • Link stages of learning to articles/videos from the Internet and beyond. Progress through various stages of learning
  • Organize classroom resources

Getting Started

  1. Sign up for a LessonPaths account and log in.
  2. Once directed to the dashboard, browse previously created playlists.
  3. Create your own playlist by clicking the + button to add content. Try to include the 4 options: a link to an Internet site, upload a file, and write an assignment or create a pop quiz.
  4. Create a Learning Playlist and use it as a presentation tool. Alternatively, have students or colleagues create playlists on a certain topic.
