Haiku Deck

Back to Ed Tech Tools
Haiku Deck is a way to create and share presentations. It is a great tool for building short, simple, attractive slide decks. Haiku Deck lets users add their own images, but it also searches millions of Creative Commons-licensed images based on the words chosen for that slide.

There are many options available for sharing – Facebook, Twitter, or e-mail, or embed in a blog or Web site. There is also the option of exporting the presentation for further tweaking in PowerPoint or Keynote.
Educational uses:
  • Pitch an idea
  • Add rich content to a blog or a website
  • Give a report
  • Showcase learning or artwork
  • Tell a story
  • Illustrate concepts

Getting Started

  1. Download the Haiku Deck application and create an account.
  2. View the Gallery to find Featured and Popular Decks, hand-curated, on a wide range of subjects.
  3. Create a presentation focused on communicating a concept visually. Alternatively, have students or colleagues showcase their learning or artwork using Haiku Deck.
  4. Place the presentation on a public site, such as your blog or YouTube.
