Edshelf is a free web service which allows users to curate, review, rate and organize favourite websites, digital tools, mobile apps, and desktop programs, as well as to find and discover the new resources. The resources have been rated and reviewed by parents and educators, for parents and educators.
The resources can be organized into collections which can be further filtered with tags and categories. Users can search for tools as well as browse curated categories, most recent additions and popular ones. Specific tools can be searched and filtered, rated and reviewed. Users can receive recommended and featured tools, create collections of tools, and share collections with friends and colleagues. To ensure quality and to protect itself from spam, any new app added to EdShelf will be reviewed for inclusion in the general database and if accepted, EdShelf will add more detailed information including video clips, and other relevant info. Users’ collections can be made public or private. The EdShelf widget lets collections be embedded into website or blog. Collections can also be printed with QR codes. |
