Anchor.FM

Back to Ed Tech Tools
Anchor.FM is a free podcasting platform that allows users to record a podcast right on their phone, add music tracks or external sound bites, add guests or broadcast call-ins from listeners. Record with a co-host, publish voice messages from students or other listeners, and drive discussions around your episodes.
Anchor converts recorded audio into video clips that play on major social media platforms, including built in, editable captioning with automatic speech to text. It is easy to distribute your podcast to major platforms like Apple Podcasts and Google Play Music with just one click. The podcast is automatically transcribed into an animated video – perfect for getting your podcast heard on social media.
Students can compose reflections of their learnings, pose questions about studied content, or share a conversation about a topic.

Getting Started

  1. Download the free Anchor mobile app for iOS or Android and create an account..
  2. Tap any tool to add some audio to your episode.
  3. Add a caption and publish the segment to your podcast.
  4. Keep adding segments to finish your episode. When you’re done, just give it a name and share it with the world!
  5. Submit the link on the Submission Form. Explain how you used, or will use, Adobe Post for instructional or facilitation purposes.
  6. As an option, share via text and email, or you can directly share it to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more.
